Job Description
Neelgai is seeking a proactive Security Engineer to join our team in building cutting-edge security products. The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity, has hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk), and possesses a solid understanding of vulnerability management and static code analysis. This role will play a key part in designing and deploying security solutions that protect our systems and products from emerging threats.
Responsibilities
  • Design & Development: Architect, develop, and implement security solutions that align with industry standards and mimic best practices from leaders like CrowdStrike and Arctic Wolf.
  • Monitoring & Analysis: Utilize SIEM tools such as Splunk to monitor network and system activities, identify anomalies, and respond to potential threats in real-time.
  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, manage remediation efforts, and maintain robust security protocols to mitigate risks.
  • Static Code Analysis: Leverage static code analysis tools to review software code, identify potential security vulnerabilities, and work closely with the development team to address these issues.
  • Incident Response: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective incident response strategies and ensure rapid mitigation of security incidents.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of security processes, incidents, and resolutions. Provide clear, actionable reports to inform strategic security decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a security engineering role or similar capacity within the cybersecurity field.
  • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk) and a solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks. Experience with vulnerability management and threat assessment processes. Exposure to static code analysis and secure coding practices. Basic understanding of network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security concepts.
  • Bonus Skills: Knowledge of advanced security products and solutions similar to those developed by CrowdStrike and Arctic Wolf. Experience with incident response and forensic analysis. Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment. A proactive mindset and a passion for continuous learning in cybersecurity.
